The music of Nikki Forova is as contradictory as herself her soft but expressive voice, insightful and intimate lyrics, and her sunny and spirited nature touches and captivates the audience - an extraordinary journey lies behind her and Nikkis songs, without question, reflect the impressions she received along that way.
Born into a family of passionate actors, since childhood Nikki literally has assimilated the atmosphere of a life behind the curtains. The fascination she exudes, developed from her parents performances on stage, continues to this day.
Her way might seem to be predetermined but growing up in the heart of Russia when the Iron Curtain split the world in two has never been easy. The collective moral standards of a communist society and the harsh reality of Soviet regime definitely had a huge influence on her philosophy and the way she perceives life. Passionate musical expression for simple and forgotten truths and beauties of life became her way of living while reaching out beyond social norms and searching for true spirituality.
Nikki started composing songs when she was seven years of age. During the following eight years in music school she learned to play the piano, danced, and sang in various choirs. Through persistent practice she won several dance competitions, composition contests, and made it to the national finals with her solo performances.
She came to America, graduated in Music Composition and moved to Los Angeles to seriously start to work on her career. Out of thousands of hopeful contestants she won a National MTV Duets competition and had the amazing experience of performing the hit song "A Thousand Miles with Grammy Nominee Vanessa Carlton.
After playing the clubs in and around Los Angeles for a couple years she moved to the Inland Empire and continued singing in the clubs and festivals before returning to Los Angeles where she is now is completing her first insightful emotion-packed album titled "Revving Wings" while she continues enchanting audiences with her astounding performances.
With her first tour throughout Europe and West Coast of the United Sates upcoming, one may say that Nikki Forova has come a long way and her creative journey continues.
